shall we put it to a vote?
ReplyDeleteDon't be so impatient with us Larkin, I was gonna do this same thing but you didn't give me enough time. And I don't see any mention of Peter Abelard, wtf?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I vote for 7, 8, 19 and 34
No vote, just fiat?
ReplyDeleteA vote gives me nothing but a number. I asked for comments either by email or on the blog so that I could more effectively gauge enthusiasm. I think that if several members are more enthusastic on a certain topic, that might make for a better discussion than a topic which might win a simple majority. I also think that 35 topics is a much too large list to vote from. Since I received almost no feedback and time was running out, I chose the topic. I encourage everyone to pick their favorite topics from the list and we can discuss options for future topics at the meeting.
