  2. A vote gives me nothing but a number. I asked for comments either by email or on the blog so that I could more effectively gauge enthusiasm. I think that if several members are more enthusastic on a certain topic, that might make for a better discussion than a topic which might win a simple majority. I also think that 35 topics is a much too large list to vote from. Since I received almost no feedback and time was running out, I chose the topic. I encourage everyone to pick their favorite topics from the list and we can discuss options for future topics at the meeting.
